Canada Super Visa Description

Overview of the Canada Super Visa

The Super Visa for Canada is a special type of visitor visa designed for parents and grandparents of Canadian citizens or permanent residents. It allows these individuals to stay in Canada for an extended period. This is a great option for families looking to reunite with their loved ones while giving them more flexibility compared to a regular visitor visa, which typically only allows stays of up to 6 months.
To be eligible for a super visa, you must have a host who is your child or grandchild and is a Canadian citizen or permanent resident of Canada.

Understanding the Validity Period of a Canada Super Visa

The Super Visa for Canada is typically issued for a multiple-entry visa that is valid for up to 10 years. However, the visa holder can stay in Canada for up to 5 years at a time per entry. After the 5-year stay, they can leave and return as many times as needed during the validity of the visa.
