A sponsored visa is a type of visa that is supported by an individual or an organization in Oman. This visa allows individuals to visit Oman for tourism purposes, provided they have a sponsor in the country.

Sponsor in Oman

The sponsor for a tourist visa in Oman must be either:
  • An Omani national, or
  • A company wholly owned by Omani nationals.

Types of Sponsored Visa

  1. Tourist Visit Visa 10D (6A)
    • Stay duration: Up to 10 days
    • Visa validity: Valid for up to 90 days
    • Visa Fee: 5 OMR (Approx. INR 1200)

  2. Tourist Visit Visa 30D (6B)
    • Stay duration: Up to 30 days
    • Visa validity: Valid for up to 90 days
    • Visa Fee: 20 OMR (Approx. INR 4500)

Eligibility for e-Visa (Unsponsored)

A person who is an Indian national and has a valid Schengen visa or a valid visa to one of the following countries (USA, UK, Canada, Australia or Japan), is eligible for:
  1. 26N Tourist visit visa:- Length of stay is 10 days and fee is 5 OMR.
  2. 26M Tourist visit visa:- Length of stay is 30 days and fee is 20 OMR.
  3. 36M Visit visa Multi Entry 1 year:- Length of stay is 30 days and fee is 50 OMR.
If you are an Indian national and a resident in a GCC country (Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia or UAE), you are eligible for:
  1. 28A GCC citizen companion visa:- Visit to Oman by a person who has current residency in Saudi Arabia or Kuwait and who is accompanied by a GCC citizen.
  2. 28B GCC citizen companion visa:- Visit to Oman by a person who has current residency in Bahrain, Qatar or UAE and who is accompanied by a GCC citizen.

Documents Required

  1. Passport: A valid passport with at least 6 months of validity.
  2. Passport-sized photograph: A recent photograph with a white background.
  3. Confirmed air tickets: Proof of flight booking.
  4. Hotel Reservation: A confirmed booking for accommodation in Oman.
  5. Cover letter: A letter from the applicant explaining the purpose of the visit.
  6. Financial documents: Proof of sufficient funds to support your stay in Oman, including: Recent bank statements for the last 3 months.
  7. Travel itinerary: A detailed plan of your travel within Oman.
  8. Invitation letter from sponsor in Oman: A letter from your sponsor (individual or company) in Oman.
  9. Passport of sponsor: A copy of the sponsor’s passport.
  10. Proof of relationship or reason for visit: Documentation explaining the relationship to the sponsor or the purpose of your visit.
